The “Just Do It!” brand had another major win this week with the third instalment of their “You Can’t Stop Us,” campaign going viral this week.

It launched on Thursday and had 20 million views on Twitter alone by Friday.

“We’re never alone, and that is our strength,” voiced over by women’s soccer star Meghan Rapinoe “Because when we’re doubted, we’ll play as one. When we’re held back, we’ll go farther, and harder. If we’re not taken seriously, we’ll prove that wrong. And if we don’t fit the sport, we’ll change the sport.”

Maketers Take-Out

Some observations we can take from this campaign and us in our own marketing projects.

1. It’s Positive

In the midst of COVID, there is a lot of negativity worry and paranoia. This piece makes people feel like they have the poser to create a more positive outcome in their own lives.

2. It makes the viewer the hero of their own lives

Many companies have to respond to COVID with sappy “We are standing with you” types of messages that aim to make their brand the hero of your story. This one seems to encourage you to become the hero of your story
